Blue Origin officially opens its new HQ and R&D center
O’Neill is known for his work with NASA in the 1970s, conceiving prospective future innovation for sustained human existence in space– including the so-called O’Neill cylinders, which are big environments developed to spin to duplicate Earth’s gravity for long-lasting citizens and for on-board farming. It also prepares to open a dedicated engine manufacturing facility in Alabama this March. 2020 must likewise see Blue Origin fly its first human travelers aboard New Shepard, its sub-orbital rocket, which is currently well along the path to human certification, and it’s looking to next year to start operating New Glenn, its orbital launch vehicle.
