Google says it offset all of the emissions it has ever generated
To get there, Google will match wind and solar power sources together, increase its use of battery storage and use AI to optimize its electrical energy need forecasting. The company also plans to bring 5 gigawatts of carbon-free energy to its key manufacturing areas by 2030. By 2030, it also desires to assist more than 500 cities and regional federal governments around the world minimize one gigaton of carbon emissions yearly, and it’s assisting commercial building and information center owners use AI to reduce energy use.
