By the time Ms. MacPherson was a teen, some board makers were attempting different materials and more manageable designs. Ms. MacPherson and her friends took a trip the world browsing, and in the 1960s she discovered herself in Australia and New Zealand, where she satisfied and married Tim Murdoch, a fellow internet user and Mr. MacPherson’s dad. A preferred browsing area for Ms. MacPherson and her kid was Shipwreck, off the Baja peninsula in Mexico.
